Encre Noire born in 1994 and proposed a new wedding photography style, far from the traditional wedding photography approach.
Encre Noire proposed a journalistic and artistic vision of the wedding day. It was the first time in France that an agency proposed different professional and talented photographers for weddings.
This group spirit created an emulation and Encre Noire became quickly famous and seduced many journalist wrote about this new style. The wave of the « journalistic style» broke on wedding photography.
Today, Encre Noire has become a reference.
A few exhibitions and a beautiful book called « Un Jour » (A Day) have contributed to celebrate Encre Noire’s photographers as authors.
Wedding photography is the most famous activity of Encre Noire.
However, as you will discover on our Corporate link, Encre noire proposes services for institutional and corporate photography.
Last but not the least, Encre Noire proposes portraits in our studio or at home.
We discretely capture the emotion, the subtle lights and little moments that you can’t see during this so short day… 90% of spontaneous pictures but of course we never forget the family memories wich are so important on a wedding day, the decorations and venues memories. Of course we cannot miss the entrance of the bride with her father in the church, the rings exchanges, etc. So many weddings shots since so many years… However we still search new ideas, new frames, new attitudes. Encre Noire’s work is a mix of traditional and creative moments.
Our photographers shoot a lot of pictures on a wedding day, generally between 500 and 1000, sometime more, according to the number of guests, the weather, etc. A talented photographer is not the one who shoots the most but the one who sees and thinks before shooting. If you want to be surprise by his work, if you want an artistic vision, you should give the photographer time to search good ideas and not asking him to shoot formal things all day long…
